Merck Foundation Calls for Media Awards Applications to Raise Awareness Across Africa and Asia

Merck Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Merck KGaA Germany, is calling for applications to its Media Recognition Awards 2026. The awards, in partnership with African and Asian First Ladies, aim to raise awareness about health and social issues across Africa and Asia. Two sets of awards will be given: 'More Than a Mother' and 'Diabetes & Hypertension'. The first focuses on raising awareness about important social issues such as breaking infertility stigma, supporting girl education, ending child marriage, and preventing gender-based violence. The second promotes healthy lifestyles and raises awareness about the prevention and early detection of diabetes and hypertension. Applications for both awards are due by September 30th for 'More Than a Mother' and October 30th for 'Diabetes & Hypertension'.
