Merck KGaA Boosts 2026 Profit Outlook Amid Strong Q3 Earnings
German life-sciences and materials group Merck KGaA has upgraded its 2026 profit forecast after delivering a strong quarterly earnings report. The company's adjusted EBITDA, a key profitability metric, is now expected to reach €5.9-€6.3 billion in 2026, up from an earlier estimate of €5.7-€6.1 billion.
This revised outlook comes as Merck continues to expand its Life Science unit through strategic acquisitions, including the recent $11.3 billion deal for US biotech tools company Bio-Techne.
The upgrade gives investors a more positive view on the combined group's financial health, making it less likely that lenders will scrutinize the Bio-Techne acquisition as a costly and risky move.
