Merck KGaA Lifts Earnings Guidance on Strong Demand in Life Science and Electronics
Merck KGaA, a German diversified group, has raised its earnings guidance for 2026 due to strong demand in its Life Science and Electronics units. The company's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA), adjusted for special items, are expected to range between €5.9 billion and €6.3 billion ($6.8-7.3 billion). This revised outlook surpasses the previous range of €5.7 billion to €6.1 billion.
Merck's quarterly results also exceeded expectations, with the company posting better-than-forecast earnings. The improved performance is attributed to increased demand for drug manufacturing supplies and semiconductor materials. As a result, Merck has upwardly revised its 2026 EBITDA guidance.
