Merck Licenses KRAS G12D Inhibitor SPR2015 for $400M Upfront
Pharmaceutical giant Merck has entered into an exclusive global license agreement with SciBrunch Therapeutics Co., Ltd. for the investigational preclinical oral KRAS G12D inhibitor SPR2015.
The deal is worth $400 million upfront and could reach a total of $2.13 billion, including milestone payments related to development, commercialization, and other activities across multiple indications.
SPR2015 has shown promise in preclinical data, demonstrating nanomolar antiproliferative activities in various KRAS G12D-mutant cell lines and antitumor efficacy as a monotherapy in multiple in vivo cell-derived and patient-derived xenograft models.
SciBrunch Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotech company founded in late 2024 with a focus on small molecule oncology therapeutics, while BofA Securities acted as exclusive financial advisor to the company in connection with the transaction.
