Merck Pivots to SciBrunch for KRAS Program After Fizzling Talks with Revolution Medicines
Months after reported negotiations fell through between Merck and Revolution Medicines, the pharma giant has turned to China-based SciBrunch for a KRAS program. Merck paid $400 million upfront for global rights to SPR2015, a preclinical molecular glue inhibitor that targets KRAS G12D in its active state.
The deal comes after Revolution Medicines' Rasonque daraxonrasib showed promise in pancreatic cancer patients, leading to reported merger talks with Merck valued at $30 billion. However, negotiations reportedly fizzled over the purchase price.
