Merck Secures Global Rights to SPR-2015 in $2.13 Billion Deal
Pharmaceutical giant Merck & Co. Inc. has entered into an exclusive global license agreement with Chinese biotech firm Scibrunch Therapeutics Co. Ltd. for its preclinical oral KRAS G12D (on) inhibitor, SPR-2015.
The deal is worth a potential $2.13 billion, including $400 million upfront, and additional payments tied to development, commercialization, and other milestones for multiple indications.
Merck will have exclusive rights to develop and market SPR-2015 globally, while Scibrunch will receive the initial payment as well as milestone payments upon achievement of certain development and regulatory milestones.
