Merck's stock price dipped by 0.41% to EUR 127.86 after-hours on October 1, 2026, according to Lang & Schwarz.

This decrease comes after the company announced a global license agreement for an investigational cancer drug, SPR2015, with SciBrunch Therapeutics.

Under the agreement, Merck received exclusive worldwide rights to develop and commercialize the drug, with SciBrunch entitled to an upfront payment of $400 million and potential milestone payments totaling up to $2.13 billion.

The transaction is expected to result in a $400 million pretax charge for Merck's third-quarter 2026 GAAP and non-GAAP results.
