Merck Takes Control of Harpoon Therapeutics After $680 Million Acquisition
Harpoon Therapeutics stock has exited the Nasdaq exchange following Merck's acquisition of the clinical-stage immunotherapy company.
The deal, valued at $680 million, converted Harpoon into a wholly owned subsidiary of Merck and ended its days as an independent publicly traded entity.
Merck's takeover broadened its oncology pipeline with Harpoon's T-cell engager technology, centered on HPN328 (also known as MK-6070), which targets delta-like ligand 3 (DLL3) to direct immune cells toward cancer cells.
As a result of the acquisition, Harpoon's portfolio and assets are now owned by Merck, while its historical Nasdaq listing, HARP, is no longer publicly traded.
