Merck Teams Up with Debbie Allen to Launch HIV Support Program
HIV activist Debbie Allen has partnered with pharmaceutical company Merck to launch 'Your Hive of Whole Health', a multi-year educational program aimed at helping people living with HIV build personalized support networks for their overall health.
The initiative, unveiled at the U.S. Conference on HIV/AIDS in Anaheim, California, is designed to provide resources and tools for HIV patients to manage their condition beyond just medical treatment.
As part of the program, users can access a comprehensive 'Hive' hub at HiveofWholeHealth.com, which includes a downloadable 'Hive Keeper' workbook that guides them in developing personal care circles of healthcare providers, community advocates, family, peers, and more.
Merck's HIV business unit lead, Conrod Kelly, stated that the company aims to broaden the discussion around HIV management to include factors such as managing mental wellness, co-occurring conditions, social drivers, and other life challenges.
