Merck Unveils Initiative for Whole-Person Care Among People Living with HIV
Merck has launched an initiative called Your Hive of Whole Health to support people living with HIV in managing their physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being. The program was unveiled at the US Conference on HIV/AIDS (USCHA) in Anaheim, California, from September 17-20, 2026.
The campaign aims to honor the strides made toward ending the HIV epidemic while emphasizing that future progress depends on a collective focus on whole person health. It offers tools and resources to help people build personalized networks of support, known as 'Hives,' which may include healthcare providers, community advocates, family, and peers.
Debbie Allen, a famed actress and longtime HIV advocate, joined Merck to launch the initiative. She said, 'True health is about the whole person, their mind, body and spirit.' The program will be featured at a premier plenary session at USCHA on September 19, hosted by Allen and other advocates across the HIV community.
