Meta Platforms (META) is taking steps to address investor concerns over its artificial intelligence (AI) spending and growing questions about whether those enormous investments can translate into meaningful returns.

The company launched Muse, an autonomous personal AI assistant that helps users handle online tasks such as scheduling, searching for products, and automating activities across the web. However, Amazon.com (AMZN) blocked Muse from accessing its shopping platform due to privacy and security concerns.

Despite this setback, Meta's AI strategy is gaining momentum. Muse has led app store charts for nearly two weeks, surpassing Claude and Grok. Additionally, Shopify (SHOP) partnered with Meta to enable agentic checkout across its merchant network, giving Muse an alternative e-commerce route.
