Mexican Cargo Carrier Weighs Options for Future Fleet Mix
Mexican cargo carrier mas is eyeing the Airbus A350F and Boeing 777-8F as potential additions to its fleet mix in the next decade.
The airline's Chief Executive Robert van de Weg stated that while they can grow their operation with one or two widebody freighters, availability remains a major constraint.
Airbus A330 Freighters have supported mas' near-term growth, but they are not enough to sustain further network expansion.
The company is looking at the A350F and 777-8F as newer options for the 2030s, with launch expected by the end of the decade. The A350F is undergoing ground testing ahead of its first flight, while the 777-8F remains in development.
