MFs Cut Stakes in 84 Stocks, Share Prices Plummet Up to 50%
Mutual funds have trimmed their holdings in 84 stocks over two consecutive quarters, according to data from ACE Equity. This trend has resulted in significant share price declines for these companies.
The analysis shows that 28 of these stocks have seen a fall of more than 10% this year, while 14 have plummeted between 25% and 50%. Mutual funds are considered informed investors, often making investment decisions based on extensive research and their assessment of a company's long-term fundamentals.
The data highlights the importance of monitoring mutual fund holdings, as sustained reductions in their stakes can be a trend worth watching. Companies such as KPIT Technologies, Alok Industries, Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care, and Wipro have seen significant declines in share prices, ranging from 25% to 50%, accompanied by a reduction in mutual fund holdings.
