Michelle Rodriguez Cracks Up Romantic Comedy with Egg Baby Role
American actress Michelle Rodriguez has joined Amazon MGM Studios' upcoming romantic comedy film 'Egg Baby'. The movie, directed by Natalia Anderson and produced by XYZ Films alongside Allison Friedman, is about two high school students who are forced to co-parent an egg for a health class project. The story takes an unexpected turn as they develop feelings for each other while raising the egg.
Rodriguez will star alongside Ariana Greenblatt, Kingston Rumi Southwick, Arthur Conti, and Jean Smart in the film. Her role is yet to be announced. The actress is best known for her work on the Fast & Furious franchise and has appeared in films such as James Cameron's Avatar and Resident Evil.
Egg Baby follows a rebellious artist (Greenblatt) and a golden-boy quarterback (Southwick) who find themselves co-parenting an egg, dubbed 'Yolk-o'. The movie explores their developing feelings for each other amidst the challenges of raising their imaginary child. Sawyer Perry has written the screenplay, which is being produced in association with BuzzFeed Studios.
