Micron May Boost Buybacks, Dividends as AI Demand Fuels Earnings
Micron Technology (MU) could significantly increase its shareholder returns when it reports its latest financial results on Sept. 30, according to JPMorgan Chase.
Analyst Harlan Sur, who has a 71% success rate, says investors should be prepared for Micron to announce a new capital return program that includes more stock buybacks and a bigger dividend.
Micron currently pays a quarterly dividend of $0.15 per share for an annual distribution of $0.60 a share, but the company's dividend yield is only 0.06%, making it small compared to other companies.
