Microsoft-Activision Deal Challengers Seek $60 Million Payday
Microsoft's historic $75.4 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard has been challenged by shareholder attorneys, who are now seeking a $60 million payday after negotiating a $250 million settlement.
The settlement resolves claims that former Activision CEO Bobby Kotick and other board members signed off on the discounted sale to escape the sexual harassment crisis engulfing the gaming giant.
The transaction, which included the Call of Duty franchise, was the sector's largest ever.
