Microsoft Addresses 421 Vulnerabilities in August Patch Tuesday Release

The August 2026 Microsoft Patch Tuesday release addressed a significant number of vulnerabilities across various Microsoft products and services.

This month's release included patches for 421 vulnerabilities, with 62 classified as critical and 357 as important-severity issues.

Microsoft also addressed three zero-day vulnerabilities: two that were publicly disclosed and one that was being exploited in the wild.

The update includes fixes for several high-severity issues that could potentially enable remote code execution, privilege escalation, or denial-of-service attacks.
