Microsoft AI Chief Warns Against Using China as Excuse for Delaying Regulation
Microsoft's AI chief Mustafa Suleyman has weighed in on the debate over regulating artificial intelligence, saying that concerns about China's advancements shouldn't be used as an excuse to delay putting guardrails around the technology.
In a recent interview with CNN's Fareed Zakaria GPS, Suleyman stated, 'I don't think we should use China as the bogeyman for not making progress on our own efforts' on AI safety.
Suleyman's comments come at a time when there is growing concern about the rapid pace of AI development and its potential risks.
