Microsoft Axes 260 More Jobs in Gaming Division Amid Activision Takeover
Microsoft's video game division has been hit with another round of layoffs. The company is cutting more than 260 jobs from Halo Studios, other first-party studios, and the XBOX Games Studio management team.
This latest move comes just months after Microsoft announced plans to eliminate over 3,200 jobs in total across its gaming division.
The news also revealed that the next 'Halo' game will not be developed by Microsoft, but rather by Activision, which is behind the popular 'Call of Duty' franchise.
