Microsoft Brings Auto Super Resolution to Intel Panther Lake PCs for Enhanced Gaming

Microsoft is expanding its Automatic Super Resolution (Auto SR) technology to Intel Core Ultra series 3 Panther Lake-based PCs. This move aims to improve gaming performance and visual quality on compatible hardware. Auto SR enables upscaling of games, allowing for higher graphics settings at the same frame rates.

The technology has been demonstrated with Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, showcasing a significant boost in visual fidelity when scaling from 1600p Low settings to Ultra High settings with a 1050p internal resolution. This improvement is substantial enough to be noticeable even on native 1600p settings.

Auto SR is compatible with DirectX 10 and newer games, making it a versatile tool for enhancing gaming performance on both modern and older game engines. The technology's broad compatibility also means it can be used to improve performance on classic titles that lack upscaling features, such as the original release of Crysis.
