Microsoft Brings NVIDIA's Jensen Huang for Largest Windows Event Since May 2024

Microsoft is set to host its largest Windows-focused event since May 2024 on October 7 in San Francisco. The company has invited NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, along with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Windows and Surface chief Pavan Davuluri, to join the stage.

The Surface Laptop Ultra, a high-performance machine, is expected to be the main attraction of the event. This laptop features a custom NVIDIA RTX Spark SoC, which pairs a Blackwell GPU with up to 128GB of unified memory and up to one petaflop of AI compute.

Microsoft has been refining the Windows 11 software stack this year to support the new hardware. The company has developed a Workload Profile Scheduling system and an optimised Prism emulation layer to ensure efficient performance on ARM-based hardware.
