Microsoft Class Action Lawsuit Filed Over Alleged Securities Law Violations
A class action lawsuit has been filed against Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) and certain of its officers, accusing them of violating federal securities laws. The lawsuit alleges that during the period from May 1, 2025 to January 28, 2026, Defendants made false and/or misleading statements about Microsoft's Copilot family of products. Specifically, they failed to disclose significant problems with brand positioning, user experience, usage, data siloing, computational capacity, organizational, and interoperability.
The Complaint also states that Microsoft's flagship proprietary AI model ranked below competitors on benchmark tests and needed increased capital expenditures to improve its competitive positioning and increase AI-related research and development. This led to a significant percentage of commercial Microsoft 365 users not converting to paid Copilot subscriptions and Microsoft's Copilot offerings losing market share.
Investors who purchased or acquired Microsoft securities during the Class Period are encouraged to join this case by visiting bgandg.com/MSFT. Those affected have until August 11, 2026, to request that the Court appoint them as lead plaintiff. Peretz Bronstein, Founding Partner of Bronstein, Gewirtz & Grossman, LLC, said 'Our practice centers on restoring investor capital and ensuring corporate accountability.'
