Microsoft Denies Price-Matching Allegations in Valve Deal

Microsoft is pushing back against a proposed class action lawsuit from PC gamers who claim that the tech giant formed an illegal price-matching agreement with Valve Corp.

The plaintiffs have accused Microsoft of conspiring with Valve to maintain high prices for games, but Microsoft says this is simply a normal business deal.

According to court documents, Microsoft argues that the plaintiffs' counsel has spent years arguing that Valve bullied publishers into accepting its terms, and now they are trying to turn this on its head by claiming that Valve and Microsoft colluded to maintain high prices.

The company is urging a Washington federal judge to dismiss the lawsuit, citing a lack of evidence to support the claims of collusion.
