Microsoft's Digital Crimes Unit has dismantled EvilTokens, an AI-powered cybercrime service that helped attackers breach over 12,000 email accounts across more than 10,000 organizations worldwide.

The platform, which launched in February, used an AI chatbot to analyze messages, map relationships, and identify employees involved in payments.

EvilTokens' tools could draft convincing messages that sounded like they came from the victim, making it easier for attackers to launch sophisticated financial scams.
