Microsoft Exchange Online Suffers Widespread Outage Amid Misconfiguration Error
Microsoft reported an issue affecting access to its Exchange Online service and other services on Monday. Thousands of users experienced problems, including login failures, missing emails, and inaccessible files.
The company acknowledged a misconfiguration issue that prevented authentication components from deploying correctly in part of its infrastructure.
A Microsoft spokesperson stated: 'We're aware of an issue affecting access to Exchange Online and some other services. We know this is disruptive for customers and we appreciate their patience while we work to restore services as quickly as possible.'
The outage affected various features, including OneDrive for Business and SharePoint Online, in addition to Microsoft Teams.
Microsoft engineers are retracing the changes made to pinpoint the cause of the issue.
