Microsoft Executive Murder Trial: Defense Argues Lack of Motive

A Microsoft executive's murder has led to a complex trial in Jacksonville, Florida. Jared Bridegan was shot and killed after dropping off his two children at the home of Mario Fernandez Saldana, who is accused of plotting and funding the murder-for-hire.

Fernandez's defense attorney, Jesse Dreicer, argued that there was no motive for his client to kill Bridegan. 'Jared Bridegan was murdered,' Dreicer said. 'Henry Tenon murdered Jared Bridegan. Mario Fernandez had no motive. He had no desire. He had no reason and he certainly gained no benefit from the death of Jared Bridegan.'

Tenor, who was a tenant on one of Fernandez's rental properties, is accused of being the hit man in Bridegan's death.
