Microsoft Flight Simulator Announces New National Championship Air Races Expansion

Microsoft Flight Simulator has announced its new National Championship Air Races expansion, set to release on October 13, 2026. The expansion will be available following the 2026 races in September.

The games developers have collaborated with experienced race pilots to recreate the nuances and demands of real air racing. This partnership aims to bring a more realistic experience to players, who must actively manage aircraft systems and performance during the racing experience.

STOL Drag racing has also been added to the expansion, allowing for head-to-head short takeoff and landing competition seen at the National Championship Air Races.
