Microsoft Flight Simulator Brings National Championship Air Races Expansion

The National Championship Air Races and Microsoft Flight Simulator have announced a new expansion for the flight simulator game, bringing the speed and intensity of air racing to fans worldwide.

The new content will be released on October 13th, just three weeks before the real-world National Championship Air Races return to Roswell from September 16-20.

According to Tony Logoteta, president and chief operating officer of the Reno Air Racing Association, the partnership between Microsoft Flight Simulator developers and experienced pilots has recreated the nuances and demands of real air racing in the game.

The expansion will be available for download on October 13th, coinciding with Xbox's Gamescom 2026 coverage in Cologne, Germany.
