Microsoft Hit with Class Action Lawsuit Over Alleged Securities Law Violations
A class action lawsuit has been filed against Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) and certain of its officers, alleging violations of federal securities laws.
The complaint, which covers investors who purchased or acquired MSFT securities between May 1, 2025, and January 28, 2026, claims that defendants made false and/or misleading statements regarding Microsoft's Copilot family of products.
The lawsuit alleges that these statements were made without disclosing significant brand positioning, user experience, usage, data siloing, computational capacity, organizational, and interoperability problems with the product. Additionally, it is claimed that MSFT's flagship proprietary AI model ranked below competitors in benchmark tests.
Investors who suffered a loss may be eligible to participate in the class action lawsuit and have until August 11, 2026, to request appointment as lead plaintiff. Bronstein, Gewirtz & Grossman, LLC is representing investors on a contingency fee basis, which means that they will only receive reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses and attorneys' fees if successful.
