Microsoft Introduces Work IQ, Integrating Business Intelligence with Copilot
Microsoft has announced Work IQ, a business and workplace intelligence system that integrates with Microsoft Copilot and agents. The new platform uses machine learning to reason across productivity and business data from Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
Work IQ allows users to connect and model their business once, creating a shared foundation for Copilot and agents. This enables the reuse of understanding and governed actions across multiple experiences without rebuilding context for each agent.
The system uses semantic modeling to bring business context together by combining data scope and semantic indexing with knowledge from existing business applications and organization-specific terminology. This results in faster responses, more accurate answers, and a faster time to value.
Work IQ also enables the creation of reusable business skills that can be invoked by users to guide their actions. These skills combine instructions for a business task with the context and supporting resources an agent needs to follow them.
