Microsoft Intune Adds Remote Sign-In Feature for Digital Signage

Microsoft has expanded its Intune platform to include remote access for digital signage and unattended devices. The company's Remote Sign-In feature allows administrators to connect directly to a Windows endpoint through the cloud, eliminating the need for on-site support.

This new capability is designed for operators of distributed device networks that previously relied on local technicians for many support tasks. The feature fundamentally changes how Remote Help works by allowing administrators to sign in directly to the target device, rather than requiring both parties to be authenticated with Entra ID accounts.

The update reflects Microsoft's broader strategy of positioning Intune as a central management platform for a growing range of devices. While unified endpoint management has historically focused on office PCs and mobile devices, specialized endpoints are becoming increasingly important.
