Microsoft Launches Community-First Grants for Washington Nonprofits
Microsoft has launched Community-First Grants, a new program to support Washington nonprofits addressing community needs. The initiative will award $1 million in grants to King County-based organizations.
The first round of applications is open through October 23rd and can be submitted via the Community-First Grants page. According to Jane Broom, senior director of Microsoft Philanthropies, 'Nonprofits serve as the backbone for much of King County, bringing people together and delivering resources to improve the quality of life.'
Community-First Grants are designed to provide funding for projects that might otherwise be delayed or out of reach. 66% of nonprofits have concerns about their organization's financial stability, and nearly 75% have experienced increased demand for services in times of rising costs and greater pressure on resources.
