Microsoft Leads Dow's 613-Point Rebound After Worst Day Since April
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rebounded sharply on Thursday, July 30, 2026, surging 613.92 points, or 1.19%, to end the session at 52,208.06.
This rebound came exactly one session after the Dow had suffered its worst single-day performance since April 2025, tumbling 1,153.18 points, or 2.2%, on Wednesday.
The primary catalyst behind Thursday's rally was Microsoft, whose shares surged roughly 16% after the company reported quarterly revenue of $90 billion and adjusted earnings per share of $4.74 that topped Wall Street estimates.
