Microsoft Lets Site Owners Edit Branded AI Query Terms in Clarity Dashboard
Microsoft has made an important change to its Clarity AI Visibility dashboard. Site owners can now edit the list of terms that determine whether an artificial intelligence (AI) query is classified as branded or not. This allows them to add abbreviations, translations, and typos to the list, which will improve classification accuracy and reporting quality.
The initial list is pre-populated by Clarity, but site owners can change it under Settings > AI Visibility. The new feature follows Microsoft's August 3 release of branded and non-branded query segmentation in the citation dashboard.
According to Microsoft, the updated Brand Terms will allow site owners to manage their brand names and products more effectively. They can add, change, or remove terms as needed, and even group related spellings under a single brand name.
