Microsoft Manager Killed in Ambush Orchestrated by Ex-Wife and Husband

Jared Bridegan, a Microsoft design manager, was killed in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, in 2022 after his ex-wife Shanna Gardner and her husband Mario Fernandez Saldana allegedly hatched a targeted ambush against him.

Bridegan was shot while removing a tire from the road with his 2-year-old daughter strapped in her car seat. The killer, prosecutors say, was a stranger to Bridegan, but the murder was personal due to years of post-marriage strife over religion and child custody between Gardner and Bridegan.

Fernandez Saldana is on trial for first-degree murder and solicitation of murder, while Gardner faces her own trial in September. Prosecutors claim that Fernandez Saldana hired a gunman, Henry Tenon, who was paid $10,000 after the murder.
