Microsoft Opens Up Five Open-World Games for Free Play
Microsoft has launched its Free Play Days promotion on Xbox consoles, offering five massive open-world games for free play. The games, developed by Ubisoft and available from October 1 to October 4, include Far Cry 6, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Skull and Bones, and The Crew Motorfest. All five titles are typically subscription-based, but during this period, they can be downloaded without an Xbox Game Pass membership.
The games' massive virtual maps and multi-hour campaigns will be accessible to every Xbox user, allowing players to explore and experience the full content without spending a dime. However, it's essential to note that the free access is only available until October 4, giving players a brief weekend window to play before the promotion expires.
The Free Play Days promotion partners with Ubisoft to bring these high-profile adventures to Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles. To claim and download any of the games, navigate to the Microsoft Store tab on your Xbox console, select the Subscriptions area, and scroll to the dedicated Free Play Days section.
