Microsoft Ordered to Disclose Internal Docs and Search Execs' Comms

A consent order in a secondhand software reseller case against Microsoft has been published, requiring the company to disclose internal documents and search executives' communications.

The order, agreed upon by both parties, includes demands for documents from past and present Microsoft head honchos, including Richard Chin and Kevin Turner. It also requires Microsoft to explain why a 2013 document, known as the 'Second-Hand Software Presentation,' was not disclosed earlier.

ValueLicensing boss Jonathan Horley said that this order is the result of their work to get appropriate disclosure for some years. He added that it brings a liability trial one stage closer.
