Microsoft Outlook and OpenAI Hit by Widespread Outages on August 31
Thousands of Microsoft Outlook users reported issues on August 31, with peak reports of over 5,800 problems occurring around 1:24 p.m. ET.
The outage, which began around noon ET, affected various Exchange Online functionalities, according to a post on X by Microsoft.
Microsoft stated that it was working on resolving the issue and reviewing service telemetry and diagnostic data to isolate the source of the problem.
In addition to Outlook issues, thousands also reported problems using OpenAI on Monday afternoon, with peak reports of over 1,500 problems occurring around 1:17 p.m. ET.
