Microsoft Outlook and OpenAI Services Struck by Widespread Outage
A widespread disruption to Microsoft's Outlook email service has affected thousands of users on Monday. According to reports compiled by Downdetector, nearly 6,000 users have reported an outage for Outlook. Users were unable to open, search or send emails through the service.
Microsoft confirmed the outage in a statement, saying they are 'continuing to fine-tune our remediation strategy as our internal tests progress.' The issue started at around 11 a.m. EST and was still ongoing as of 3:01 p.m. EST.
The outage has also affected OpenAI's ChatGPT Work service, with users experiencing partial issues across multiple subscription plans. OpenAI confirmed they are working on resolving the problem through their status page.
