Microsoft Overhauls Copilot App with Coding Tool and AI Agent

Microsoft has revamped its Copilot app to include several new capabilities aimed at transforming it into a one-stop shop for office workers.

The company unveiled 'Code', a coding tool that allows users to build apps, dashboards, and other software using natural language prompts.

Code is powered by the same technology as Microsoft's GitHub Copilot and will roll out to early-access customers at the end of the month, with 365 Premium and Pro subscribers able to preview it later this year.

The company also introduced 'Autopilot', a revamp of its 'Scout' AI agent that carries its own identity in the company directory and has specific permissions that users can control.
