Microsoft Overhauls Copilot with AI Agents and App-Building Tools
Microsoft has overhauled its Copilot platform to make it more integrated into everyday enterprise work. The update adds long-running AI agents, app-building tools, and deeper Office integration.
Copilot now organizes around three main capabilities: Home, Code, and Autopilot. The Home experience combines Chat with Cowork, allowing users to move between quick conversational work and jobs that Copilot carries out from start to finish.
Autopilot is a new AI agent that can continue working without waiting for another prompt. It can monitor channels, follow up on conversations, perform recurring work, and return to projects days later.
