Microsoft Passes on Customizable Transparency Slider for Windows 11

Microsoft's Partner Director of Design, March Rogers, has confirmed that there are no plans to introduce a customizable UI transparency slider on Windows 11.

This decision comes after users asked for a feature similar to the Liquid Glass slider recently added to iOS. For years, Windows has featured transparency and blur effects, but users have been unable to fine-tune these settings beyond turning them on or off.

Rogers noted that while there are no immediate plans to introduce a transparency slider, Microsoft appreciates user feedback and is working on new customization options for the OS. These include a redesigned Start menu and context menu that will be user customizable.
