Microsoft Pushes for Safer, More Inclusive AI Development

The report emphasizes the need for adaptive governance and stronger safeguards across the entire AI lifecycle to bridge digital divides and ensure the benefits of AI are realized broadly and safely.
The company stresses that any pursuit of advanced AI must be grounded in benefiting humanity and remaining firmly under human control. To achieve this, Microsoft is promoting collaboration across industry, government, academia, and civil society to advance AI alignment and robust evaluation mechanisms.
Microsoft has also partnered with leading organizations across Southeast Asia to advance regional digital inclusion by breaking language barriers. The company is working on research regarding AI safety across Southeast Asian languages and expanding multilingual and multicultural safety benchmarks.
