Microsoft Scraps 'Copilot+ PC' Branding for Windows Laptops

Microsoft has quietly ended its 'Copilot+ PC' branding for Windows laptops, according to recent statements from company executives.

The branding was introduced in 2024 and aimed to identify laptops that met specific hardware requirements for AI features. However, when the flagship feature of Copilot+, Recall, received a negative response, the branding became seen as more of a checkbox than an actual benefit for consumers.

Executives from Microsoft and Qualcomm confirmed that the latest Surface machines do not carry the Copilot+ PC label, despite meeting all previous requirements. This has led to speculation about the future of the Copilot Key.
