Microsoft Shareholders Hit With Potential Securities Class Action Lawsuit
The Gross Law Firm has issued a notice to shareholders of Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) regarding a potential securities class action lawsuit.
The firm alleges that during the period between May 1, 2025 and January 28, 2026, Microsoft's Copilot family of products experienced significant issues with brand positioning, user experience, usage, data siloing, computational capacity, organizational, and interoperability problems. Additionally, the company's flagship proprietary AI model was found to rank well below competitors on benchmark tests.
The complaint also claims that Microsoft needed to increase its capital expenditures by billions of dollars to improve the competitive positioning of its critical Copilot family of products and increase AI-related R&D. As a result, the company allegedly failed to convert a significant percentage of its commercial Microsoft 365 users to paid Copilot subscriptions.
The deadline to seek to be a lead plaintiff in this case is August 11, 2026. Shareholders who purchased MSFT shares during the class period are encouraged to contact the firm regarding possible lead plaintiff appointment.
