Microsoft Stock Bounces Back Near Record High
Microsoft stock has recovered significantly after falling to $352.83 in June from its record close of $542.07 on October 28, 2025.
The recovery was sharp, with shares rising about 46% from the low and now sitting just 5% off the record.
However, most of this rebound happened in a single week after Microsoft's fiscal fourth-quarter report on July 29, when the stock leaped around 26% in four trading days.
Azure, Microsoft's cloud computing platform, saw growth speed up to 43% for the three months ended June 30, well above management's predicted range of 39-40%.
Despite this, investors may be concerned about Microsoft's capital expenditures, which rose 69% year over year to $41 billion in the June quarter and are expected to climb again in fiscal 2027.
