Microsoft Taps Caroline Foo to Lead AI Expansion in Philippines
Microsoft Philippines has appointed Caroline Foo as its new country general manager, tasked with expanding artificial intelligence and cloud adoption across the national economy. Foo previously held the position of enterprise commercial director for ASEAN at Microsoft.
The appointment comes as the Philippines continues to show a strong affinity for AI, with 25% of surveyed Filipino workers qualifying as 'Frontier Professionals', the most advanced category of AI users, according to the 2026 Microsoft Work Trend Index. This figure beats the global average of 16%.
Foo expressed her optimism about the Philippines' potential in a recent press statement, stating that she sees a genuine desire to harness technology in a way that amplifies human potential and creates lasting impact. She will prioritize helping organizations convert the country's AI workforce advantage into enterprise-wide transformation.
