Microsoft Unveils Latest Surface Devices with AI-Powered Features
Microsoft has unveiled its latest Surface devices at Qualcomm's Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii. The new lineup includes the Pro 12-inch, Laptop 13-inch, and a Surface Mouse with AI-powered features.
The Pro 12-inch is Microsoft's most portable device in the Pro lineup, designed for versatility. It can convert from a tablet to laptop mode and has a magnetically stored Surface Slim Pen for sketching. The device also features an AI-powered, pen-first Ink Canvas experience pre-installed, which allows users to sketch, annotate, generate images, and summarize text directly on the canvas.
The Laptop 13-inch promises longer battery life with up to 22.5 hours of local video playback and 18 hours of active web usage. The device also features a fingerprint power button with enhanced sign-in security, a Universal Serial Bus Type-A port, and a 3.5-millimeter headphone jack.
The Surface Mouse has integrated haptic feedback that responds to clicks, window snapping, object alignment, and other activities. It comes in black and platinum colors and features a customizable action button for Microsoft's Copilot AI assistant and other shortcuts.
All three devices will be available on October 13 in select markets through the Surface for Business program. The Pro 12-inch starts at $1,149.99, the Laptop 13-inch at $1,199 MSRP, and the Surface Mouse at $79.99.
