Microsoft Unveils New Surface Laptops and Tablets with Snapdragon X2 Plus

Microsoft is rolling out updated versions of its smaller Surface Laptop and Surface Pro machines. These new devices will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon X2 Plus chip, which offers improved performance.

The Surface Pro 12-inch model now features a 25% brighter display and a battery that's 30% more efficient. It also comes with an optional 5G model, which was one of the most requested additions from customers. The new devices will have either 16GB or 24GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 256GB to 512GB.

The Surface Laptop 13-inch model has also been updated with the Snapdragon X2 Plus chip and a brighter display. It starts at $1,199, which is $50 more than the last generation's base price. The Surface Pro 12-inch model starts at $1,149, which is $300 more than its previous base price.

Microsoft is also launching a new Surface Mouse with haptic feedback and a customizable Copilot button for $79.99. Both devices will be available on October 13.
