Microsoft Unveils Plans for New Data Center Campus Outside Atlanta
Microsoft is expanding its presence in Georgia by planning a new data center project. The tech giant has filed an application for ATL50, a Developments of Regional Impact project with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs.
The proposed campus will be located at 5235 Stonewall Tell Road in Union City, southwest of Atlanta in Fulton County. It aims to develop two three-story buildings totaling 910,000 sq ft on an 88-acre parcel west of Stonewall Tell Road and north of Koweta Road.
Microsoft is set to launch the project in 2032. The company already has a significant presence across Georgia, with various data centers located in Fairburn, Douglasville, Palmetto, Rome, East Point, Tyrone, and more.
